Dina was born in Forest Hills Queens and raised there. However, she moved from Queens to Dix Hills Long Island before the end of her junior year. There are two of her siblings: one of whom is older, named Gregory and a younger brother called Evan. At the age of 9 up to 16, she started being involved in the business of entertainment by modelling. Ron Stetson taught her the Sanford Meisner acting technique at The Neighborhood Playhouse.
